Privacy Policy
Effective October 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Orbit Referral Group LLC ("ORBIT," "we," "us") collects, uses and shares personal information through orbitreferralgroup.com and its aliases, including orbitfranchising.com (the "Site"). The Site is intended for franchisors and franchise professionals acting in a business capacity.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you pre-register a brand, we collect the information you enter, which may include: contact name, title, email address and phone number; brand name and website; niche and sub-niche; franchise system details such as year franchising started, open and signed units, states registered, franchise fee, investment range, royalty, support summary, development approach and FDD availability; and any free-text answers. If you email us, we collect the content of your message and your contact details.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider receives standard technical data when you visit, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps, which it uses to deliver and secure the Site. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser information when fonts load. The Site stores your light/dark theme choice in your browser's local storage. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, pixels or similar technologies.
2. How we use information
- To review pre-registrations and evaluate brands for membership seats;
- To contact you about your pre-registration and ORBIT;
- To operate, maintain and secure the Site and prevent spam or abuse;
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
3. How we share information
- Member franchisors and prospective members: only with your consent, for example when you agree to an introduction.
- Service providers that process information on our behalf, including Netlify (website hosting and form processing) and Google (email through Google Workspace, and Google Fonts).
- Legal and safety: when required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of ORBIT, our users or others.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition or sale of all or part of our business, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the past 12 months.
4. Retention
We keep pre-registration information for as long as needed to evaluate your brand and maintain our relationship, generally no longer than 24 months after our last contact with you unless a longer period is required by law, after which we delete or de-identify it. You may ask us to delete it sooner.
5. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and access-controlled service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know and access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, the sources, purposes and the categories of third parties we disclose it to;
- Delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, but you may still submit an opt-out request and we will honor it going forward;
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information or use it for purposes requiring this right;
- Non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
Categories collected in the past 12 months: identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address); professional or employment information (title, company/brand); commercial information about your franchise system; and internet activity data (server logs). Sources: you and your device. Purposes: those listed in Section 2. Disclosed for business purposes to: the service providers in Section 3.
How to submit a request. Email info@orbitfranchising.com with the subject "Privacy Request" and tell us which right you are exercising. We will verify your request by matching information you provide with information we hold, and respond within 45 days (extendable as permitted by law). You may use an authorized agent; we may require proof of the agent's authority and verify your identity directly.
7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for that browser. Because we do not track users across sites, we do not respond differently to Do Not Track signals.
8. Children
The Site is a business-to-business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Other US state privacy rights
Residents of other states with consumer privacy laws (such as Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon and others) may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, or opt out of certain processing of their personal information, and to appeal our decision. To exercise these rights or appeal, email info@orbitfranchising.com. Some of these laws exempt information collected in a business-to-business context; we will honor reasonable requests regardless.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the effective date above. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site.
